HUMAN RESOURCES & ADMINISTRATION DIRECTOR - South Africa

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • At least seven years of human resources or related management experience
  • Experience with occupational health and safety
  • Significant experience managing training programs
  • Proven experience designing and managing performance management systems
  • Experience managing human resources information systems
  • Management capabilities with proven capacity to oversee and motivate diverse teams
  • Experience with agriculture is a significant plus
  • Extraordinary attention to detail
  • Exceptional work ethic, proactive attitude and energy
  • Willingness to live at least three weeks per month in Kigumba; one week working from Kampala satellite office
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks of any scale in a high-pressure environment
  • Broad range of computer skills

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Execute the human resources strategy of the company
  • Implement the policies set out in the human resource manual and recommend updates to the policies as applicable
  • Develop & implement recruiting strategies to acquire leading talent
  • Establish & implement on-boarding processes
  • Manage company trainings on corporate goals and values
  • Implement programs that build company morale
  • Manage employee files and the HR Information System
  • Develop, implement and monitor a performance management system to develop and retain leading talent
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws
  • Participate in the disciplinary committee
  • Oversee the implementation of the human resources elements of the companys gender strategy
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the companys occupational health and safety strategy
  • Contribute to internal communications
  • Manage payroll, casual labor, and contractor requisitions
  • Manage & update the organization chart, pay scales, and role descriptions
  • Oversee the administration of the human resource programs
  • Oversee community relations and public relations
  • Oversee health and safety
  • Oversee gender related initiatives
  • Oversee security
  • Oversee site administration
  • Undertake various other tasks to be assigned to you
