Recruitment and Selection Assist with the recruitment and selection process internally and externally utilize the appropriate and approved process to meet the equity and talent requirements of the organization. Prepare and conducting Job descriptions for all jobs relevant to the company. Liaise with recruitment agencies to source candidates. Conduct induction sessions for new staff. Draft employment contracts, agreements and prepare access cards for new staff. Training Management Identify and assesses current and future training needs through job analysis, career paths and consultation with the line managers Execute the training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations to up skill our teams Resolve specific problem areas in skills gaps and tailor training programs as necessary Payroll Queries Management Ensure deadlines are met for all payroll requirements Submission of monthly payroll register Leave management for all employees and submit to Managing Director Provide assistance in relation to pay queries, escalating where necessary to payroll and manage and escalate deadlines. Legislative and Audits Assist with all legislative audit requirements (NBCRFLI and Dept of Labour) Manage full function of EE, WSP/ATR, BBBEE reporting and submission Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements as well as the correct acts of determination in the company. Employee/Industrial Relations and Administration Guide Managers in terms of ethical procedure and good employee relations. Ensuring consistency in staff discipline overall. Provide HR Support and advice to employees and line managers, explaining policies and procedures in a timely and effective manner. Guide and manage compliance with legislature and followed disciplinary procedure. Comply with Disciplinary code, manage Disciplinary action and attend disciplinary hearing as an observer to guide process and sometimes chair disciplinary hearing. Investigate all referred disciplinary and grievance matters, gather evidence, prepare cases and support the company in the resolution of cases. Compile bundles for external disputes (CCMA & NBCRFLI). Gather all documents for external dispute and do follow-ups (CCMA objections or postponements). Send out telegram on behalf of line managers to employees who are absconding. Ensuring that all IR matters are recorded, and documents saved accordingly. HR General Administration and Reporting Do general administration and updating of HR reports. Submission of sick leave application on NBCRFLI system. Maintain and develop the personnel and HR filing system to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare all exit documents for employees (UI19 and provident fund). Termination of employees from the NBCRFLI system. Performance Management Improve knowledge and competency of employees by identifying gaps and develop specific training. Assist all departments with performance appraisal and compensation processes. Manage probation periods through ensuring performance objectives are clearly defined between the new employee and line manager and reviewed throughout the period. Ensure appropriate actions are taken in terms of the continuation or termination of the employee during the probation. Minimum requirements: A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology. An Honours Degree in Human Resources is preferred. 3 Years HR Generalist Experience 2 Years Employee Relations / IR Experience At least 1 year experience in Road Freight NBCRFLI and Union experience required Personal attributes: Extensive knowledge of applicable legislation, including LRA, BCEA, EEA, SDA, NBCRFLI Computer Proficiency (MS Office) Strong written and verbal communication (Proficient in English) Ability to multitask and manage deadlines efficiently Attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion R31 000 p/m Apply Now
