Service & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, service, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues efficiently. Installation: Install various HVAC components and systems, including split units and control systems. Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and compliance with all relevant regulations, including OSHA and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Customer Interaction: Liaise with clients to understand requirements, ensure satisfaction, and provide technical service records for client signatures. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work orders, repair records, and technical documentation. Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members, providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff as needed. Emergency Response: Be available for extended hours and weekends to address emergency situations. Knowledge / Skills Sound Testing / troubleshooting / fault finding knowledge In-depth knowledge of installation, maintenance, repairs and servicing of different HVAC Systems, including: chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumps, split units, VRF's/VRV, packaged units, air handling units, multisage evaporative cooling units and entilation systems Strong administration and organisational skills Knowledge of service, product, and installation methods Computer room cooling, packaged units, air handling units, multistage evaporative cooling and ventilation systems Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating. Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in reading schematics and work plans. Good understanding of electrical and control circuits' Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience, specifically in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Qualifications: Red Seal Commercial Refrigeration Trade Certificate Safe Handling Practitioner Certificate Valid Driver's License Technical Skills: Proficiency in HVAC refrigeration systems and mechanical repairs. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams. Competence in using diagnostic tools and performing routine maintenance. Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
