Hydraulic Gear Pump Fitter required Qualification: Matric Formal Trade Qualification as a Fitter At least 2 - 4 years experience as a Hydraulic Pump Fitter or Similar Experience: Receive stripped hydraulic pumps or motors or electric motors or pump units for assembly Prepare hydraulic pump motor for assembly Measure parts, bearing packs, lapping and machining Receiving of spares parts to reassemble stripped pumps and motors Ensure that all spares received are correct for the applicable unit that needs to be assembled Assembling hydraulic pump or motor to be the requires specification in accordance with the workshop manual i.e. correct torque on bolts, pretentions are done according to the product manual Allocate of ID codes on the job costing system in the assembly function Flagging of unit to the next function (Testing) Physically forwarding unit to the testing area to be tested When necessary, put old parts in box if required by the customer to be returned Ensure that all parts not used are put in scrap bins after assembly Ensure work benches are keep clean and tidy at all times Adhere to all reasonable and lawful instructions given by management
