Mogale Tailings Retreatment (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Pan African Resources (Pty) Ltd based in Krugersdorp is looking for a Hydraulic Remining Manager . As a Hydraulic Remining Manager you will lead our hydraulic mining activities and oversee contractor management in remining operations. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, guiding a team of hydraulic mining personnel, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and production standards. Ensuring that Safety, health and environment are complied with in the plant during your shift as per Safety Standards, Policies and Procedures of MTR Operations and the MHSA. Provide leadership and direction to the hydraulic mining team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, production targets, and environmental regulations. Oversee and coordinate with contractors involved in remining operations, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and quality assurance to ensure alignment with MTR Operations goals and standards. Coordinate and ensure that maintenance, repair, and deployment of hydraulic mining equipment is done to maximize uptime and productivity, ensure spares management is in place and effective. Develop and implement production plans, meetings and schedules to optimize resource utilization and meet production targets efficiently. Enforce safety procedures and regulatory compliance in all mining activities, conducting regular inspections, safety meetings, and training programs. Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining productivity and quality standards. Minimize environmental impact by implementing best practices for water management, spillages, and land reclamation in accordance with regulatory requirements. Ensure that the mining plan is followed, and production targets are met, while making adjustments as necessary to optimize efficiency and productivity. Be available on standby to address any operational issues or emergencies that may arise outside of regular working hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the remining operation at MTR Operations while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. Grade 12 Supervisory course/ First line manager course Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Manager or Remining Manager in Tailings reclamation operations, with demonstrated proficiency in Remining and Tailings Storage Facility operations, maintenance management and planning. Qualification in Metallurgy or Civil Engineering will be an added advantage. No criminal record You should have the following skills and experience: Experience in Tailings retreatment operation. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements in the mining industry. Computer literacy (MS Office Suite) and MS Projects. Strong problem-solving skills and process troubleshooting skills; Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and challenging environment with a strong commitment to safety, integrity, and sustainability. English proficiency Valid driving license code B or EB Medical certificate of Fitness. Market Related
