The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and co-ordinating the Pediatric unit in line with clinical protocols and hospital strategic objectives . Critical Outputs: Providing effective management by : - Demonstrating visible leadership skill by sponsoring initiatives and projects and ensure change is supported. - Provide direction and inspire positive work behaviour. - Develop learning opportunities for staff. - Manage performance and productivity - Adjust staffing appropriately to cover the needs of the Pediatric ward (including reduction and increase) Conduct effective stock management by : - Reviewing and maintaining the relevant inventory control reports and stock levels. Ensuring effective product management by : - Managing the implementation of formulary changes, accelerated product conversions and improvement initiatives. Providing effective doctor relationships by : - Taking note of doctor's requirements and addressing doctor's complaints timeously. Producing effective quality systems management by : - Ensuring continuous improvement in patient safety. - Monitor employees' adherence to protocols and procedures. Requirements: - Current registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse and ICU trained - At least two years relevant Intensive Care experience in a managerial capacity - A relevant management qualification will be an advantage - Strong leadership skills, sound communication and inter-personal skills - The ability to work under pressure and assume responsibility for managing personal outputs. - Computer proficiency Please note that if you have not heard back from us within 2 weeks then consider your application as unsuccessful.
