The successful incumbent will have a passion for technical finance, with a keen focus on IFRS17 legislation.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of technical papers on IFRS
- Presentation and debate with external auditors
- Technical argument papers for Group Audit
- Supporting business with technical accounting matters
- Assistance on tax calculations
- Participating in tax risk management
- Assisting with indirect tax reviews
- Assisting with external audits
- Project management on ad hoc projects (technical)

Education:
- Qualified CA(SA)
Skills & Experience:
- 2 to 3 years post articles experience within a technical role, with a focus on IFRS17
- Insurance industry experience essential
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Financial and business acumen
- Strong personality
- Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
- Flexible and open-minded
- Team player
