Import Airfreight Supervisor - Cape Town Region

Hire Resolve's client is currently seeking an experienced Import Airfreight Supervisor to join their team in the Western Cape. As an Import Airfreight Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the import airfreight operations and ensuring the timely and efficient transportation of goods via air. As part of this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the import airfreight process. This includes coordinating with airlines and cargo agents, preparing import documentation, tracking and tracing shipments, managing customs clearance, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures. Responsibilities: Oversee the import airfreight operations, including receiving, routing, and dispatching shipments Coordinate with carriers, customs agents, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods Provide guidance and support to the import airfreight team, including training, performance evaluations, and scheduling Monitor and analyze import airfreight processes to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements, including customs clearance procedures Maintain accurate records of import airfreight shipments and prepare reports for management Requirements Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field Minimum 10 years of relevant International Trade (Import Air) and freight forwarding experience Dangerous Goods awareness Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import procedures, and airfreight documentation requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software Benefits Contact Hire Resolve today for your next career-changing move Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.
