Robert Walters Africa Responsibilities: Receive and verify documents for relevant imports Communicate shipping details with the appropriate clearing agent for each shipment Arrange transportation for shipments and optimise transport routes Keep all key stakeholders informed about the Estimated Time of Arrival Ensure receipt of all necessary documentation per shipment Monitor cargo tracing and update import schedule daily Reconcile invoice versus Purchase Order for each shipment Compile and reconcile additional costs to manage opportunities and ensure supply chain strategies on cost Identify opportunities to reduce costs within the supply chain Coordinate with agents and transporters to ensure sufficient service Requirements: Matric qualification 3 years of experience in an import/export role Customs experience is an advantage
