Responsible for investigating possible product and method improvements. Assesses specifications of equipment and new materials and determines tooling requirements for production. Plans sequence of production process and determines quality control standards. Involved with the lay out, installation and commissioning of new plants Manage all aspects of the Industrial Engineering Department Co-ordinate with all Department heads Analyse Production report and communicate with the Production Manager Run lean manufacturing projects and oversee implementation Analyse quality report and develop action plan Design production process that maximizes efficiency and reduces waste Design and conduct time and motion studies Develop work standards that promote efficient utilization of staff and facilities Develop costings for new products in conjunction with CIC/Prototype Audit and review existing product standards Conduct plant performances Management of all visual management boards Knowledge of managing weekly incentives Manage ERP Systems Knowledge of skills matrix Knowledge of Per4ma Ability to accurately conduct time studies Evaluate and perform investigation on all variances for all planned and actual results for industrial processes Maintain and update knowledge for all manufacturing engineering processes and design all processes for manpower and associate program and monitor all productivity and ensure compliance to all safety standards. Provide an efficient interface with various departments and provide support to all key staff members and design all strategies. Qualifications required Matric pass essential Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar tertiary qualification Experience Minimum of 5 years Industrial Engineering experience Experience in Lean Manufacturing Experience within the manufacturing industry
