Support and execute operational business improvement projects. Work with operations management to identify opportunities for improvement, conduct benchmarking exercises and contribute to developing improvement strategies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Facilitate Business Improvement integration into Operations & change management • Evaluation of existing processes and infrastructure to ensure that maximum efficiency is extracted through improvement projects. • Facilitate System changes & Implementation • Ensure Operations readiness to roll out with changes and coordinate changes. • Conduct Method study's • Conduct feasibility studies & ROI Calculations • Conduct Process and Layout analysis • Procurement of MHE to support operations and processes • Identify Waste and areas for improvements. • Head continuous improvement Projects to reduce cost • Determine process standards and capacities. • Contribute to Planning, designing and implementation of new processes • Assist with and facilitate Infrastructure improvements and expansions • Identify, define and automate key operational performance measures. • Project Management • Create & maintain SOP's Grade 12/Matric • Valid driver's license • 3 to 5 years working experience in an Industrial engineering or similar role • Completed National Diploma/BEng/ B-tech Industrial Engineering • Exposure to logistics/ retail distribution environment would be advantageous • Excellent elocution in English and presentation capabilities • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Data Analysis capabilities • Project Management skills • Able to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Experience using work measurement techniques. • Lean and value stream mapping knowledge & awareness • Team player • Willingness to work late shifts where necessary to complete projects • Willingness to travel. • Willingness to use own vehicle for local travel on reimbursee basis • Respect and Care: Always show respect, care for and treat everyone fairly, put people first • Integrity and Loyalty: Display loyalty, display integrity, do the right thing always • Can Do: Must have a can-do attitude, believe in yourself, and live out our values always. • Continuous Improvement: Must be dedicated to continuous improvement, be innovative and constantly learning to keep ahead.
