Industrial sales engineer - Durban

Job Purpose:

  • Define and sell the company's products and services within KZN.
  • Achieve consistent, profitable sales growth through effective customer engagement and solution provision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Expertise in Industrial Battery/Electrical/Solar/Standby Power/Traction
  • Matric/Grade 12
  • N3 Technical qualification
  • Sales and/or Marketing Qualification
  • 3-5 years in a solutions selling environment
  • 3-5 years in selling and specifying solar systems
  • Valid drivers license and reliable car

Key Responsibilities:

  • Visit and develop relationships with customers.
  • Analyze customer buying patterns and manage warranty claims.
  • Enhance sales through customer service and business relationships.
  • Train customers on technical product changes and implement marketing strategies.
  • Monitor sales performance, scrap recovery, and customer queries.
  • Identify new business opportunities and update customer database.
  • Report on sales activities and competitor activity.
  • Manage debtors, operational costs, and pricing surveys.
  • Ensure discounts and sales targets are in line with budget.
  • Adhere to sales and operations policies and procedures.
  • Report misconduct/non-performance.
  • Process HR administrative issues.
  • Independent, analytical, systematic, creative, detail-oriented, customer-focused, high performance
