Information Security Analyst L1 - Johannesburg
Our client has an EE opportunity available for an Information Security Analyst based in Selby. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in information security or a similar field. Industry certifications. Knowledge of: Cloud security platforms. Firewalls and malicious code defense. Cybersecurity technical assignments, standards, tools and processes. Common attack vendors. Vulnerability assessment tools. Endpoint and network security tools or techniques. 2 years’ experience within either an information security position or in cybersecurity. 2 years IT administration experience. Responsibilities: Gather information related to Technology Transformation and Innovation. Conduct analysis and planning activities. Conduct investigations on the uses of data encryption, firewalls and other appropriate security tools. Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause. Provide input into the design of your area of responsibility. Proactively configure and monitor security alerts. Verify authorized access by conducting reviews of logical access on systems. Identify and respond to threats to meet or exceed defined SLA’s/. Conduct risk and quality management within your area of responsibility. Create awareness of IT Security good practices to the relevant stakeholders through communication and training. Adhere to processes and policies.
