Your key job responsibilities as the Infrastructure Engineer Jira/Git in Cape Town will include: Working closely with Process Improvement, Product Management, and Project Management teams to optimize the functionality of Jira and Confluence Designing and implementing advanced workflows, incorporating conditions, validators, and post-functions Integrating JIRA with development, security, and reporting tools for seamless operation Collaborating with technical teams to develop innovative, business-centric solutions that are reliable, performant, and scalable Driving GitOps practices forward, upgrading existing tooling to meet industry standards Prioritizing security, ensuring IT systems prioritize user safety and protect intellectual property Automating processes through scripting or other solutions to streamline operations Creating technical documentation, such as designs and procedures, to support implementation Monitoring and maintaining high performance and availability of IT infrastructure Requirements for this Infrastructure Engineer Jira/Git job in Cape Town: Proficient in JIRA, Jira Service Management, and Confluence administration Skilled in integrating Git and CICD tooling with Atlassian products Experience with hybrid or cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) Strong in automation using PowerShell and BASH scripting Knowledgeable about containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
