Manufacturing Plant based in Pietermaritzburg, requires the fill the position of a qualified and experienced Senior Injection Moulding Operator to join our growing team. In this leadership role, you'll not only be responsible for operating high-output injection moulding machines (250-400 ton) but also for overseeing and mentoring a team of 10 staff. Run and manage the injection moulding department with a focus on efficiency, quality, and safety. Competently commission new moulds , ensuring optimal performance from the start. Set up, operate, and maintain high-output injection moulding machines during normal production runs. Perform complete mould changes efficiently and with minimal downtime. Troubleshoot and solve problems that arise during production, ensuring timely resolutions. Drive and achieve agreed-upon targets for final efficiency and scrap levels. Lead and mentor a team of 10 staff , providing training and guidance to ensure their success. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Injection Moulding Operator. Proven ability to run and manage a team effectively. Strong leadership skills with a focus on motivation and development. In-depth knowledge of injection moulding processes and equipment. Expert in Mold commissioning, setup, and changeovers. Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving on complex machinery. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate effectively. Strong commitment to safety and quality in the workplace. Competitive salary and benefits package.
