Our client in The Netherlands is looking for Red Seal Trade Tested Instrument Technicians looking to relocate with a valid South African passport . They are offering a 2-year working visa, good earnings, flights, furnished accommodation etc. for those candidates who are successful. We are ideally looking for candidates who can speak basic Dutch / or fluent Afrikaans (and willing to learn Dutch). Install, calibrate, and commission instrumentation and control systems. Set up and configure sensors, transmitters, analysers, and other instruments. Perform routine maintenance on instrumentation and control devices to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with sensors, controllers, and other components. Repair or replace faulty instruments and components. Program and configure programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to control industrial processes. Update and modify control system software as needed. Conduct regular inspections of instrumentation to identify potential problems. Implement preventive maintenance measures to avoid system failures. Calibrate instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability. Conduct testing and validation of instrumentation to verify proper functionality. Maintain and test safety instrumented systems (SIS) to ensure compliance with safety standards. Participate in safety audits and implement safety protocols. Keep accurate records of instrument specifications, maintenance activities, and calibration procedures. Update and maintain instrument databases. Participate in the planning and implementation of instrumentation upgrades and modernization projects. Stay informed about new technologies in instrumentation and control systems. Work to optimize control strategies for efficient and safe operation of industrial processes. Recommend improvements to enhance overall system performance. Respond to emergency situations involving instrumentation failures and take corrective actions. Implement emergency shutdown procedures when necessary. Red Seal Trade Tested Instrument Technician. At least 2 years experience in relevant trade. Knowledge of the standard practices of the trade, tools/equipment used, and proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
