Job Title: Instrumentation Superintendent - Mining Industry Location: North West, South Africa Overview: Hire Resolve's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instrumentation Superintendent to oversee all instrumentation-related activities within their mining operations in the North West region. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of instrumentation technicians, and ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of all instrumentation equipment to support efficient and safe mining operations. Responsibilities: Manage a team of instrumentation technicians, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the efficient and effective performance of all instrumentation-related tasks. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes for all instrumentation equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and minimal downtime. Oversee the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new instrumentation equipment as required, working closely with engineering and operations teams. Conduct regular inspections and audits of instrumentation systems, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations, advocating for a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team. Develop and maintain strong relationships with equipment suppliers and contractors, negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships effectively. Provide training and development opportunities for instrumentation technicians, supporting their growth and advancement within the organization. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to instrumentation performance, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
