Job Title: Assessment, Venue and Logistics Manager (Intec Cape Town) Location: Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa Reference : REF29 Contract Type: Permanent Job Summary: To lead and manage the Assessment department under the direction of the academic manager in order to provide accurate, effective and responsive services to the internal business and the its student’s. This job focuses on operational efficiencies and efficacies to ensure the end-to-end process runs without delays and in compliance with regulatory body standards. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Managing and quality assuring adherence to formative and summative policies as well as the management and quality assurance of per and post-assessment processes and analysis of assessment logistics, including results. Managing the venue and logistics sector for venue management, security, storage, distribution and receipt of all assessment documents (question papers, assignments, POE’s, projects). Chairs the Examination Committee and is a member of, inter alia, the Examination Board and the Academic/Board Committee. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: 1.Assisting in the design and implementation of policies, procedures and quality standards for the Division. 2.Managing adherence to assessment processes, timelines and deadlines 3.Managing adherence to quality standards, policy and legislation requirements regarding the preparation for examinations and examination question papers and assignment and POE. 4.Managing adherence to assessment integrity and ensuring that the implemented assessment process, question papers, memos, assignments, POE’s and projects comply with policy, procedural and legislation requirements 5.Managing post-analysis of assessment processes, including assessment results coordination 6.Managing staff performance and delivery 7.Managing general administration 8.Managing internal and external communications 9.Financial management 10.Ad hoc duties. Requirements: REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB: 1.3 – 5 years an academic management role 2.Degree 3.2 years experience in assessments 4.Deep understanding of regulatory body requirements and deadlines across various product offerings 5.Experience in managing relationships with Government educational bodies 6.National and international assessment practices, policies and procedures, financial management, project management, people management 7.Experienced and Registered Assessor and / or Moderator. 8.High level of competency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel COMPETENCIES OF THE JOB: 1.Relationship management and marketing management 2.Predetermined and agreed turnaround times and targets. 3.Planning and organising 4.Progress monitoring 5.Planned development organisational commitment 6. Integrity that is normally required in an assessment environment 7.
