Job Overview:
The Intermediate Odoo System Analyst is a crucial role designed to ensure the smooth running of our Odoo ERP and connected systems. The position serves as a bridge between the user community and senior system analyst, providing hands-on support, facilitating solutions, and improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Support:
- Address and resolve daily system-related queries from users, ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and escalate complex situations to the Senior System Analyst, ensuring timely resolution and minimized impact.
- Collaborate closely with application support agents to address Tier-1 issues and elevate more complex cases.

- Pick up on errors after reviewing the software updates received from the developer through code
2. Database and Reporting:
- Create, maintain, and deliver regular and ad-hoc reports as per business requirements using PowerBI, Excel, and Odoos in-built reporting tools.
- Act as a guardian of data integrity, working alongside senior system analyst to monitor and enhance system performance.
- Identify areas for database optimization, suggesting indexing solutions and other improvements.
3. UAT & Testing:
- Execute detailed test scenarios for new updates, modules, or system changes, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements.
- Coordinate user testing sessions, gather feedback, and report anomalies or areas of concern to the development team.
- Document findings and provide summarized reports post-testing for review.
4. Training:
- Design and deliver tailored training sessions for users based on identified needs or new system roll-outs.
- Continuously update training materials and resources to ensure they reflect the current system state.
5. Git and App Support:
- Collaborate with the development team to conduct preliminary code reviews on GitLab, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Research, test, and provide feedback on new apps or modules being considered for integration.
6. Documentation & Process Support:
- Maintain and update system documentation, ensuring alignment with current processes and system states.
- Work with cross-functional teams to document and refine operational processes, advocating for efficiency and user-friendliness.
7. Continuous Learning & Improvement:
- Actively stay updated on the latest Odoo features, tools, and best practices.
