Intermediate Test Analyst - Johannesburg
Position Overview: We are seeking an Intermediate Test Analyst with experience in Java-based applications, ideally within the banking domain. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the bank's modernized software systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Java-based applications.
- Execute functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and provide testing estimates.
- Identify, document, and track software defects.
- Participate in the development and execution of automated test scripts.
- Ensure that software applications meet the established quality standards and customer requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the testing team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Test Analyst, with a focus on Java-based applications.
- Experience in the banking domain is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency with testing tools and frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with automated testing tools.
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
