Messer stands apart because we put what matters first, and you matter. Principal Responsibilities: Potential duties will vary based on major and skills. Below are examples of work assignments: With guidance from subject matter experts, lead a project aimed toward improving asset reliability while providing a cost-effective solution to a designated problem. Assist with the maintenance turnaround planning process through development of a major maintenance intervention turnaround scope, in relation to respective engineering discipline, and lead execution of activity in the field. Provide support with development of a reliability report and lead a project to automate the report in a data analytics cloud. With support from subject matter experts, update the age, obsolesce, and critical spares strategies for key plant assets, and provide a revised strategy for the next 5 years for implementation. Analyze the equipment sparing strategies across the North American portfolio and provide recommendations for sparing quantities and consolidation of routinely consumed plant equipment spares. Create new Preventive Maintenance tasks or update existing PM task lists. Work with Maintenance Planning Engineer to establish effective program content, modify PM standards, and apply such to equipment using the enterprise asset management SAPPM software application. Required Skills: Undergraduate Qualifying majors of study: Currently pursuing bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; or similar Must be innovative, analytical, and self-motivated to complete tasks. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel and have the ability to learn computer-based applications. Strong analytical abilities and data management, innovative and process orientated. Willingness to learn and receive feedback.
