A Well-Known Retail entity is looking for an Internal Auditor with strong retail, and Stock count experience and that is willing to travel within South Africa as well as Africa to join their team ASAP Qualifications & Skills: BCom Internal audit/ BTech Internal audit or similar qualification (Studying towards CIA beneficial) Strong retail background (2-3 years’ experience) Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle (Eligible for a company vehicle and fuel card after 3 months) Must be willing and able to travel extensively Strong interpersonal and communication skills Advanced computer skills on MS Office (SAP will be beneficial but not required) Diligent and able to pay great attention to detail Deadline driven Excellent analytical skills - must grasp the significance of seemingly minor or small details Strong report writing skills Sound independent judgement High level of integrity, as this establishes trust and provides the basis for reliance on your work Job description: Conduct internal audits at various businesses independently and in a team Carry out other internal audit activities as may be necessary for the successful execution of the audit plan Identify weaknesses in procedures, systems and internal controls and make recommendations on how to improve the internal controls and governance processes Facilitate the implementation of recommendations made Perform stock-take audits at various branches/factories/divisions Carry out ad-hoc or special investigations to detect fraud and theft of the organisations assets. Objectively review a branch/divisions business processes and risks, and evaluate the efficiency of risk management procedures that are currently in place Carry out consulting engagements in operational areas with high impact, such as warehousing principles, stock control, cash management etc and ensure sustainable improvements with constant reinforcement.
