Our client, a reputable transport and warehousing group based in the East Rand, is seeking an Internal Auditor to join their Warehouse team. Execute a risk-based internal audit strategy. Conduct system audits and suggest improvements. Compile and present audit findings. Provide weekly management reports on immediate concerns and necessary actions. Identify potential business risks and recommend practical solutions to management. Investigate possible financial and systemic fraud, highlighting significant risks to management. Organise and document monthly risk committee meetings. Perform audits at all off-site storage facilities. Evaluate systems through walk-through tests, identifying risks and areas for improvement. Follow up on implemented recommendations and report outcomes to management. Submit weekly progress reports to the Head of Internal Audit. At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, including completion of professional articles. Seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical abilities, proficiency in data analysis, and a relevant higher education degree. Must demonstrate excellent organisational skills, numerical aptitude, and analytical thinking. Strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate others and plan effectively. Clear and effective communication skills (both verbal and written), knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, computer proficiency, and familiarity with labor laws. Willingness to travel as needed. In-depth understanding of warehouse operations and processes. Proven experience in auditing and verifying warehouse activities, particularly in inventory management, documentation, cycle counting, stock integrity, and weighbridge operations.
