Internal Business Development Consultant -Structural Steel Salary: R30 000 plus pension, commission and discretionary bonus Location: Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and expand market share. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting and lead generation. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and delivery of products/services. Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making. Familiarize yourself with different types of steel, their properties, uses, and manufacturing processes. This includes understanding steel grades, alloys, and production methods. Meet and exceed sales targets. Key accounts management. Sales planning. Prepare quotations. Processing of invoices Assist in tender processing. Answering incoming calls and converting enquiries into sales. Following up on leads. Costumers are to be contacted monthly by the internal salesperson. Handling customer complaints and enquiries. Requirements: Proven track record in sales, preferably in the steel industry or related field. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Pastel software and sales analytics tools is a plus. National Senior Certificate (math’s as a subject) Preferably an undergraduate degree or diploma 5 years’ experience in a similar position Knowledge of structural steel. Own mode of transport to the company Good communication skills
