Intune Administrator - Cape Town City Centre

Our Client

Group Technology is responsible for the provision of a digitally enabled technology service as a group COE, drive business and transformation and provide group-wide digital and data architecture. They operate the various technology platforms and shared services, ensure Cyber and Information Security resilience, and act as technology governance and risk orchestrator for technology across Company.

What will you do?

As an Intune Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our Microsoft Intune environment. You will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and ongoing administration of Intune, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in end user endpoint management, end-point security, and a thorough understanding of Microsoft Intune and Azure AD capabilities.

What will make you successful in this role?

Intune Deployment and Configuration:

  • Deploy and configure Microsoft Intune for managing endpoints, including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Intune with existing infrastructure and applications

Endpoint Management:

  • Implement and enforce security policies and compliance standards on managed endpoints.
  • Monitor and manage device inventory, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information

Application Deployment:

  • Utilize Intune for application deployment and management on various platforms.
  • Work closely with application owners to ensure compatibility and seamless deployment.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security best practices to protect endpoints and sensitive data.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory policies.

Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Provide technical support to end-users for Intune-related issues.
  • Investigate and resolve problems related to device management and application deployment.

Policy Management:

  • Create and manage Intune policies to meet organizational requirements.
  • Stay informed about updates and new features in Microsoft Intune, recommending enhancements to optimize efficiency.

Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of Intune configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Create user guides and training materials to educate end-users on Intune functionality.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Azure Administrator, etc) is recommended.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an Intune Administrator or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune capabilities and features.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security and compliance.
  • Experience of application packaging and scripting.
  • Experience with Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android operating systems.
  • Experience working with Azure Cloud and Azure AD
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Experience with communicating and collaboration on all levels.
