The implementation team is responsible for ensuring that all clients are invested in line with its respective model portfolio taking any client specific requirements (mandate, applicable legislation) into consideration and liquidity of each portfolio. Actively monitoring markets and instruments to ensure that all model portfolios are implemented efficiently. Ensure that all decisions are compliant with legislation, mandates and internal trading rules. Management of broker and service provider relationships including maintaining and management of the broker targets and budget Prepare, maintain and present: Daily cash management across all portfolios including all investment and disinvestment requests. Daily pre and post trade compliance reporting. Ensure use of Statpro system by providing a mandatory response to all exceptions noted by the system daily. Daily financial market report Communicate effectively with the Investment Team, Investment Administration Department as well as Legal and Compliance. Ensure that investment decisions are followed through completely and ensure execution across our model and clients portfolios. Conduct technical analysis of instruments Provide a daily report back on any events from the previous day (Management Meetings, Results Presentations, Information obtained from the media (newspapers/Bloomberg etc), Economic data released and Market updates) Make detailed recommendations on each resolution and/or corporate action proposed. Prepare a formalized report and ensure that the proposed proxy votes are implemented in accordance with the Proxy Voting and Corporate Actions policy. Evaluate the necessary documents in order to make a considered decision (Memorandum of Incorporation where the matter relates to a change in governance structures. etc.) Ensure that environment, social and governance considerations have been incorporated into the decision making process in accordance with the CRISA and UNPRI policies. Ensure that all systems and models remain up to date Ensure that approved investment decisions recommended by the analyst are followed through and ensure execution across our model and clients portfolios. Ensure that you use the systems available optimally and enhance the usage of the system (Decalog, Xamin, Inet, Statpro, Bloomberg, Thompson Reuters) Generate investment ideas, make recommendations based on analysis and adequate due diligence and motivate why further research should be conducted if necessary. Ensure that meeting notes and action points are well documented and filed Timeously prepare and submit investment technical reports to the Investment Committee Honours Degree in Investment Finance and/or Accountancy. Qualified JSE Trader Examination. JSE Registered Person Examination. 5 years post qualification experience. Good working knowledge of Advanced Microsoft (Excel /Word), VBasic Programming skills). Ability to utilise Bloomberg, Inet and Reuters Terminal Services. An understanding of the legislation and regulations governing the Financial Services Industry, and its application within the South African and international context.
