Job descriptionIRRIGATION ASSISTANTPAARLOur client, a well-known Golf Estate in Paarl, currently has an exciting vacancy for a dynamic individual, who will form part of the HOA Irrigation team.The responsibilities of the job incumbent include, but are not limited to: · Plan and schedule irrigation activities · Maintaining bulk water/irrigation infrastructure · Correct usage of machinery and equipment · Ensuring that all tools are well looked after · Communicating accurately and timely to ensure speed of quality services · Ensure that working schedules are adhered to · Maintain records of irrigation working schedules · Responsible for inventory control and accurate timeous record keeping · Respond to requests by the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor · Abide to all health and safety rules.The ideal job incumbent must adhere to the following person specifications: · Minimum of 5 years recommended  working experience as an irrigation assistant · Physically fit · Applicable basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing experience · Must be familiar with implementation and repairs of irrigation systems (being a hands-on individual would be an advantage) · Working in outdoor conditions · Irregular working hours · Must have a valid driver’s license · Detail orientated · Good communication and interpersonal skills · Use and maintain all personal protective equipment (PPE) recommended · Team player · Must reside in the Paarl/Wellington area · Must have own/reliable transport to and from work.A market related salary is offered.All suitable candidates are requested to submit applications, with condensed CV, to admininnovativehr.co.za by 08 March 2024.
