MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Agricultural Diploma/Degree and OR relevant irrigation/electrical certificates advantageous
Min of 3 years previous irrigation technician experience and in a similar role
Maintenance experience on pumps and farm equipment
Experience with electrical work including 3 phases, highly advantageous
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer literate
Proven ability to work independently
Drivers license

Duties including but not limited to:

Exposure to Field Work Irrigation repairs & installations, both locally and internationally.
Erect Pivots
Commission Projects
Pivot Services
Training with Valley
Delivery and installation of pumps & equipment
Checking of goods received on site, against bills of quantity
Advising the stock controller of goods received on site
Security of goods and company property on site
Placing of orders for extra goods with the company buyer, and monitoring delivery.
Site Management
Surveying and pegging
Back-up on schemes sold
Provide project and client support to the Sales Engineers
Attend to phone queries and trouble shooting
Learn the Stores withdrawal procedures for correct cost allocations
