IT Manager - Port Elizabeth

Port Elizabeth - IT manager will be responsible to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. Coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities, as well as provide support for daily operational activities of all users. Will work close with the Director of IT and Regional/Global Team. The role will be cloud focused.Essential Functions:Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of a cloud environment – designing, building, deploying, and maintaining cloud solutions on MS AzureTo identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions.To help define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practicesTo Lead IT operational and strategic planning including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resourcesEvaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systemsDevelop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives. o Implement IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provisionDevelop requests for proposalNegotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements. o Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripheralsOversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support servicesWork with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementationsDirect research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement effortsSupport engineering and software development teams throughout project lifecyclesManage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with the company Policy regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliancePerform network and security audits under the direction of the Network Engineer and the Help desk SupervisorAnticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, input/output fleet, and workstations.
