Randburg, Johannesburg, Gauteng · Information Technology IT Support Team Lead and Project Coordinator (JB4145) R25 - 30 000 per month, negotiable Randburg, Johannesburg Permanent Our client provides IT solutions to clients across communications, security and power solutions. They are currently looking for a Tier II Level candidate with experience in overseeing a small support team and coordinating projects to ensure delivery within the project scope. The successful candidate would be hands-on, able to jump in and assist when required, and have knowledge of networks, operating systems and cloud solutions. As the main point of contact between sites and operations, strong organisational ability, SLA adherence and communication skills to ensure effective project management are required. This role is ideal for individuals who are highly driven, deadline orientated and able to identify upsell opportunities for the sales team. Minimum Requirements: Relevant IT qualification and more than 5 years experience in the IT field. Previous experience in an IT Support or Desktop Support role Experience in overseeing a small team Valid Drivers license with own reliable vehicle required Proficient internal administrative skills using MS Office and a good knowledge of software applications that will be required for managing projects. Able to plan technical IT installations Excellent communications skills Can follow instructions diligently internally and as well as at our clients. Successful IT project management experience Duties: Co-ordinating and overseeing IT network and cabling installations and projects conducted by partners General desktop support for both Mac and Windows (setup of computers, password management, software installations and troubleshooting, one drive issues, hardware failure troubleshooting etc) Printer issue problem-solving Manage IT tickets according to priority level General hardware knowledge to be able to assess faults and repairs required, allocating to and managing the process with partners Procuring hardware once needs have been defined by the client for new items and managing the orders and delivery with suppliers Good overall Server knowledge, support, and be able to troubleshoot with clients. Good overall Firewall knowledge and be able to troubleshoot with clients. Proficiency in completing data backups, hard drive cloning and data migrations from different platforms. Pastel basic knowledge, install and set up the software. Good knowledge of ISPs, the setting up of routers, connecting to client equipment following activation and troubleshooting internet issues with clients. Fast reaction to monitoring services which include alerts from N central workstation agents and ISPs detailing internet links are down. Management and resolution of all IT support WhatsApp messages via the support line.
