Reference: JHB000190-Yoli-1We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated IT Help Desk Technician to join a dynamic team. As an IT Help Desk Technician, you will be the first point of contact for customers needing technical assistance via phone or email. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical hardware and software issues, providing excellent customer service, and escalating unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel. Duties Serve as the first contact with customers who need technical assistance via the phone or email and follow-up with customers until ticket resolution. Perform troubleshooting using different diagnostic techniques to resolve technical hardware and software issues. Provide quick resolution and excellent customer service. Redirect unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel. Provide needed information on IT products or services. Keep record of problems and their resolution on the ticket system. Provide feedback on processes and make recommendations on areas to improve. Maintain technical documentation and service catalogue on installation of software, configuration of hardware and problem troubleshooting. Suggest improvements on procedures. Daily, weekly and monthly reporting. Weekly site visits to client sites. Skills/Experience required: 1 - 2 years experience within a similar role Previous working experience as an IT Help Desk Technician. Experienced with: All versions of MS Windows and MAC OS. MS 365 services, online apps and Office desktop apps. Printer installation & configuration. Desktop and Laptop hardware & peripherals. Network basics and configuration. Server and backend infrastructure knowledge advantageous. A, N and Microsoft accreditations advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
