Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily IT Support and Administrative Tasks:
- Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including operating systems and applications.
- Perform routine system maintenance and updates to ensure system security and reliability.
- Monitor and manage backup and recovery processes.
- Maintain documentation for IT assets, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
2. IT Purchases:
- Collaborate with various departments to identify IT equipment and software needs.
- Research, recommend, and source IT hardware and software solutions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Create and maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate procurement agreements.
3. General
- Ensure successful onboarding and offboarding of staff
- Monitor incoming IT requests and action quickly and effectively.
- Contribute to the effective management of stock.
- Assist senior IT staff in various IT projects and initiatives
- Provide training for staff on new technologies and systems as needed
- Handle the disposal and recycling of obsolete IT assets in an environmentally responsible manner.
4. Security and Compliance:
- Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies and practices.
- Conduct regular security assessments and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Requirements:- Proven experience in IT Support, including hardware and software procurement and management.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common business software applications.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with IT security best practices and data protection regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various teams and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications (not required but a plus):- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+).
- Experience with IT asset management software.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
