We are looking for an IT Technician to provide service and support, from hardware and software troubleshooting to network maintenance and data security, IT technicians play an integral role in ensuring that technology is functioning correctly, and any issues are addressed quickly and efficiently. Installing and configuring computer hardware and software, diagnosing and repairing technical issues, providing technical support to users, setting up networks and ensuring their security, and managing backups and data recovery processes. Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners. Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks to ensure smooth operation and to identify and address problems promptly. Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults. Providing technical support to end users either face-to-face, over the phone or via email. Setting up new user accounts and profiles and handling password issues. Conducting regular system backups and data recovery in case of system failures. Managing and keeping track of IT inventory and equipment. Keeping up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and updating computer systems, software and hardware accordingly. Liaise with 3rd party suppliers. Assist users with any IT related equipment, products and services. Grade 12/ National Senior Certificate or equivalent. Relevant certifications (CompTIA A; Network; Microsoft; Udemy) or equivalent experience. Manage and support Microsoft 365 Office suite including Azure AD and Power BI. Document signing software knowledge (DocuSign and Doc-it). Knowledge in using Zoho Desk or SpiceWorks helpdesk software. Embrace ERP experience (advantageous). Familiarity of Product Information Management software – OneTimePim. VOIP - support and maintenance across all branches. Advanced problem-solving skills with regards to any IT technology and multimedia. Printer support. Network infrastructure – strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls and VPNs. System maintenance and support – maintain/upgrade/troubleshoot hardware and software. Security management – ESET antivirus, EaseUS backups, update systems for vulnerabilities. Working knowledge of remote support tools. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Excellent organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
