Medipost Pharmacy is looking for a professional, disciplined and self-driven individual to join their dynamic IT Team in a capacity of an IT Technician Team Leader GZ & KDC. The successful individual will be placed in Pretoria Gezina.IT Technician Team Leader is responsible for coordinating and delegating the responsibilities of the IT Team and oversee the day-to-day functions of the department. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:- Maintenance of hardware and software Ensure proper quality check is done on all new desktop machines and laptops before the equipment is assigned to End users Standby Support – One week a month on standby Networking and cabling - ensure consistent high standards throughout the group. Technical assistance via Remote support and/or telephone Receiving IT equipment, ensure equipment is installed by technical staff Assist in project planning and IT equipment requirements Maintaining handing out of IT devices Maintaining store room Ensure all tickets are handled on urgent and performance influence Logging tickets for IT technicians, ensure timelessly closing of tickets with feedback to person requested Arrange and plan equipment moves for departments Assist Tech support on queries and solutions on problems Scanning in faulty or damage devices to be written off and be destroyed Working through tickets that is logged Close tickets with full details Logging and managing of tickets to 3 rd party suppliers when needed Completing task in expected time frames and accuracy Working overtime when needed Assist in asset tracking Reporting any network errors and problems to Network specialist Report any errors or problems that influence incompletion of duties Assisting in annual / monthly stock take Report any escalations to the IT Manager Record, track, and document the problem-solving process, including all actions taken, software/hardware information as well as the final resolution QUALIFICATIONS:- MINIMUM: Grade 12 CompTIA A CompTIA Network Or other related IT professional certification IDEAL: Valid driver's licence Degree/diploma in IT ITIL EXPERIENCE 3 Years experience in IT Knowledge of IT Systems and Application Lead and manage the team of desktop support technicians Providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure the successful resolution of desktop-related issues. Expert knowledge in how operating systems and software. Computer literacy Microsoft office and Windows Excel, Word and Power Point Troubleshooting in windows Reporting SKILLS REQUIRED Verbal and written communication skills, listening skills, patience, empathy, conflict resolution, customer service orientation, accuracy, interpersonal skills and relationship, building skills, able to work under pressure, detail orientated. Excellent time management Knowledge of Human Resources (HR) Processes Strong organising and prioritising skills Attention to detail: Accuracy Self-Motivated and Results Orientated Ability to focus on staff needs and service while ensuring that all policies and procedures are met Swift solution of staff queries and system-related problems encountered by the staff. Provide support to staff Plan and manage installations Compliance management Adaptability Analysing and troubleshooting Deciding and initiating Action The capacity to work well within a team. The ability to prioritise your workload.
