We are an established IT company and have a position for a IT Support Technician, to provide on premise and remote support to our customers. A minimum of 3 years relevant IT experience is required. Duties will include but is not limited to the following: Onsite support of IT infrastructure of various clients Remote support via TeamViewer/Anydesk of various client Telephonic support to various clients Driving to client base which is located over the greater Cape Town area Collecting stock at various suppliers and delivering to various clients Responsibilities will include but is not limited to the following: Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability. Troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Repairing or replacing damaged hardware. Server support and maintenance (both online and offline). Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers. Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level. Implementation and maintenance of firewalls. Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware. Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting. Monitor networks through RMM Conducting daily backup operations. Managing technical documentation. Setting up and maintaining of printers. Knowledge and Experience: A and N Clear understanding of Office 2016/2019/Office365 installation, support and maintenance is required for both Windows and Mac An understanding of Microsoft, Linux servers and operating systems is required for solid first level support (MCSE/MCITP qualification a major benefit) Be able to build bare metal computer systems Strong fundamentals of networking is required Understanding of WLAN, WAN and LAN environments. Familiar with Ubiquiti and Mikrotik products will be a benefit NB . Must have a valid driver's license Personal Skills/Attributes: Good communication skills Fluent in English and Afrikaans Ability to work with others Keen and hardworking Punctual Technical hands on Strong work ethic Ability to work under pressure Quick learner Motivated Presentable Salary R15 000.00 to R 25 000.00 depending on skill set Must able to work overtime and standby when required
