Java Development Manager – Permanent – Centurion/Hybrid - R1.4m Per annum - Centurion
We are currently searching for a Development Manager to join our fast-paced financial institution, we are looking for someone who has proven experience in Java Development and team leadership.

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Team management:
- Lead and mentor a team of Java developers
- Oversee daily operations and ensure project milestones are met
- Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs
Project Coordination:
- Plan, execute, and deliver software projects on time and within budget
- Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
- Manage the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Network Management:
- Supervise network infrastructure to ensure stability and security
- Collaborate with network engineers to optimise performance and resolve issues
Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for system integrations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met
IT Technicians and Support:
- Oversee IT support staff to ensure prompt resolution of technical issues
- Implement and maintain IT policies and procedures
- Manage hardware and software procurement and inventory
Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster a collaborative environment among teams and departments
- Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders
- Liaise with senior management to align IT strategies with business goals
Technical Expertise:
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Provide technical guidance and support to the development and IT teams
- Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements
