We are looking for a Systems Engineer that can perform operating system and Ansible Automation Platform lifecycle management. You will need to perform housekeeping/monitoring/managing of the Ansible Automation Platform focusing on stability/performance as well as cost optimization. This is a long-term fixed contract of 3-years (Renewable & Ongoing) working on a Hybrid model Send your CV to elsa.vandenbergmediro-ict.co.za Create, manage and operate IaC with Terraform Perform operating system and Ansible Automation Platform lifecycle management Interact with Enterprise GitHub for version control and Git branching strategy Track and update Jira user stories to ensure due dates are met Assist to ensure stability of systems and adherence of the team to the Group’s Operations standards. Ensure quality and up to date content of the knowledge base for the sub-product Ensure quality and up to date content of the Sub-Product and compliancy required documentation Perform housekeeping/monitoring/managing of the Ansible Automation Platform focusing on stability/performance as well as cost optimization. Manage Problem, Incident and Change process for dedicated ITSM service Willing to do standby and work on weekends if needed Keep documentation up to date in all relevant systems (e. g. as is configuration CMDB/Application Instance Wizard, to be configuration Connect IT, knowledge database resolveIT) Attend and moderate operation meetings Coordinate external contractors Manage security vulnerabilities QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE: Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience Experience with Ansible Core and Ansible Automation Platform (or Ansible Tower/AWX) Experience with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES) Experience with coding and scripting (Bash, PowerShell etc) (Advantageous) Experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure) Experience with Red Hat Satellite (Advantageous) Any Linux certification such as RHCSA (Advantageous) ITIL certification (Advantageous) Minimum of 2 years of configuration management and automation experience Minimum of 2 years of ITIL work experience Minimum of 2 years of Scrum work experience Minimum of 2 years of operating system administration work experience MINIMUM SKILLS: Knowledge of Confluence, Jira and Bitbucket/GitHub Knowledge of Ansible Core and Ansible Automation Platform/Ansible Tower Basic knowledge of framework Agile Working Model Basic knowledge of Virtualisation technologies such as VMWare Basic knowledge of Private Cloud solutions Basic knowledge of Windows Server Basic knowledge of Dynatrace Basic knowledge of Splunk Basic knowledge of containerization technologies such as podman, Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift Basic knowledge of Directory Access Manager (DIVA) Basic knowledge of Intelligent Storage Orchestration Environment (iStore) and Active Directory Gruppentool (ADGR) Basic knowledge of ITIL and ITSM such as Problem-Incident-Change processes Basic knowledge of ITSM Suite Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter ADDITIONAL SKILLS: Experience with Ansible Core and Ansible Automation Platform (or Ansible Tower/AWX) Experience with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, SLES) Experience with coding and scripting (Bash, PowerShell etc) (Advantageous) Experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure) Experience with version control systems (GitHub) (Advantageous) Experience with IaC technologies (Terraform) (Advantageous) Experience with GitOps (Advantageous) Experience with ServiceNow (Advantageous) Experience with Dynatrace (Advantageous) Experience with SIEM technologies such as Splunk (Advantageous) Experience with Red Hat Satellite (Advantageous) Any Linux certification such as RHCSA (Advantageous) ITIL certification (Advantageous) Any Scrum certification (Advantageous) Salary Market Related
