Job & Company Descriptions:A Financial Services company in South Africa is currently on the lookout for a Junior Accountant. My client is looking for a strong Junior Accountant that has a love for numbers. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for the following: Debtors billing and administration - Supplier capturing, payments and reconciliations. Perform payments and authorisations on all banks. Monitor bank accounts to ensure adequate bank balances in account. Maintain bank reconciliations and General Ledger allocations. Supplier follow-up and postings Monthly Balance Sheet Recons Completion of VAT201 Forms and Submissions Completion of EMP201 Forms and Submissions Monthly and yearly journals Maintain Asset register. Maintain Petty cash. Monthly analysis of financial information, comparing actual performance and identifying variances. Preparation of financial records for financial year-end. Prepare/maintain documentation for audits. Full bookkeeping function up to Trial balance General Administration & bookkeeping Ensure quality control over financial transactions. Resolution of any financial queries Any reasonable financial/accounting task required from time to time from the financial manager / head of finance. Banking administration and resolution of any banking queries. Qualifications and Skills:Completed BCom Financial accounting.Completed SAIPA articles.1 years post articles experience would be beneficial.If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
