Junior Accountant - South Africa

A medium-sized retail business based in Century City is looking for a Junior Accountant for their head office branch. With your relevant industry experience and tertiary qualification – this will make you a top candidate for this position. Ensure that financial records are kept accurately and complete Ensure that correct procedures are followed for completion of documents, submissions and payments are done efficiently Process accounting transactions and ability to pull reports to ensure that all accounts are reconciled correctly on a monthly basis, including the following: Assist with Bank Reconciliations and administration Assist with Cashbook and credit card processing Assist Journal entries and General Ledger maintenance Sundry Creditor – applications, reconciliations and payment preparation Maintain good filing system and archiving at all times Skills & Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Accounting environment Computer Literate with Excel (intermediate level) Knowledge of accounting will be a prerequisite The ability to work under pressure High attention to detail Accurate, neat, meticulous and professional approach to record keeping, administrative tasks Ability to perform calculations and prepare detailed reports Qualification: Matric Relevant Accounting Degree Contact HAYLEY MULDER on hmuldercommunicate.co.za or 021 418 1750 , quoting the Ref: CTF018059 Connect with us on www.communicate.co.za and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
