Reference: NFE006569-NBo-1A leading South African hospitality group is looking for an energetic, motivated Junior Accountant to join their team based in Johannesburg North. Your duties include, but are not limited to: Reviewing/analysis of the VAT schedule Capturing the VAT returns, Preparing a consolidated schedule showing payments due/refunds for the group Submitting the VAT returns Pushing VAT payments Tracking if payments have been released Printing and reviewing SARS statement for journal entries, and long outstanding refunds Monitoring eFiling for additional assessments, requests for information, requests for VAT reviews, etc. Attending to SARS VAT queries (journal entries, long outstanding refunds, additional assessments, and requests for information) Reviewing and submitting VAT review schedules requested by SARS Preparing a reconciliation between the SARS statement and VAT control account. Resolving differences either with SARS or the unit Attending to SARS VAT audits Attending to adh oc queries as per the Tax Manager request Education: BCom Degree/Diploma in Job Experience & Skills Required: Minimum of 3 years in accounting Advanced Excel advantageous Financial acumen Excellent communication skills Team player Organizational and time management skills Ability to work under pressure Deadline driven APPLY NOW If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
