Junior Accountant (Audit) - Durbanville

We are seeking an Accountant to join our Augmentation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Local Government in the US with various accounting needs. In this role the responsibility is mainly to prepare the City for audit. Key Responsibilities: Perform bank reconciliations Fund accounting for Government Funds Manage accounts receivable Reconcile revenue reports to general ledger Management accounts payable Prepare accrual schedules Prepare prepaid schedules Fixed Asset Accounting Accounting for Operating and Capital leases Payroll accounting Prepare information requested by auditors (samples, schedules and extracts from the accounting software) Prepare management Accounts Variance analyses Requirements Bachelor's degree/Diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field Advantageous SAICA articles Advantageous Experience with Bank Reconciliations Experience with Financial Statements advantageous Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, working in public practice (an accounting firm) Attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Accounting software Benefits Gross remuneration structure 15 days PTO 10 paid study leave days Annual CA(SA) fee covered (if applicable) Internet Allowance Membership to Sanlam Reality Plus Hybrid working model Discretionary bonuses International business exposure (offices across seven countries) Stimulating, fast-paced work environment with structured opportunities for professional growth/development Mentoring by Senior Leadership Why CKH is the best choice?
