Reference: MP007367-AE-1 We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper or Accountant with expertise in VAT calculations and compliance to join my clients team in Nelspruit . The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of VAT regulations and requirements , coupled with proficiency in accounting principles and financial management. They will be responsible for accurately calculating VAT, preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with VAT laws and regulations. Minimum requirements: Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field will be an advantage Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant or similar role with a focus on VAT calculations and compliance Strong understanding of VAT regulations, legislation and reporting requirements Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel for financial analysis and reporting Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations and reporting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends Duties: Calculate VAT amounts for purchases, sales and transactions in accordance with VAT regulations and guidelines Prepare and submit VAT returns on a regular basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in compliance with statutory deadlines Reconcile VAT accounts and resolve discrepancies or errors in VAT calculations Maintain proper records of VAT transactions, invoices, receipts and documentation for audit and compliance purposes Ensure compliance with VAT laws, regulations and reporting requirements, keeping abreast of changes in VAT legislation and updating internal processes accordingly Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts and maintaining general ledgers Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial reports to support decision-making and financial planning processes Consultant: Anna-Belle Ehrke - Dante Personnel Mpumalanga Apply via our website www.dantesa.co.za // MP007367 If you do not hear from us within 5 days, please accept that your application was unsuccessful R30 000 - R40 000ctc Apply Now
