Junior Actuary - South Africa

As a Junior Actuary Pension Brokerage, you will assist the team in managing complex projects related to insured pension and life insurance schemes. Together with the Relationship Managers, you ensure that clients and prospects are served with the highest degree of satisfaction and advise them on a wide variety of complex employee benefits projects involving the design, implementation, optimization, and management of their pension and life plans. You will be part of the Pension Brokerage team. The role You will, as a team member of the Pension Brokerage Consultant team, together with the relationship managers, participate in projects related to benefit plans such as: Benefit audit and benchmarking studies; Plan design and optimization studies, including actuarial modelling, implementation and employee communication; Request for proposal studies. The requirements You are an enthusiastic, hands-on person, passionate about employee benefits and insured occupational pension plans and you enjoy working with numbers. Besides this you have: A degree in relevant field like Actuarial science, Mathematics, Economics or Accounting; Relevant experience in the insurance sector; Good numerical skills; Good interpersonal skills including good written and verbal communication; Fluency in both French and Dutch, with a good command of English; The ability to work well under pressure and meet targets.
