To perform quality control functions for a Phamarceutical Company KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Perform analytical procedures (final product samples / in-process samples / raw materials): Validate method Prep of standard solutions and testing reagents Analysis Recordkeeping of data Reporting Retention of samples Turnaround time Accuracy of analytical results Compliance to GMP Compliance to QMS Compliance to testing method specification Quality reporting Timely reporting of deviations and Out Of Specifications External audits - no major findings or incidents Prepare testing specifications Accuracy - Correctness of information Prepare product specifications Accuracy - Correctness of information Verifications and calibration of laboratory instruments (HPLC / GC) Timeous (according to schedule) Log sheet maintained Housekeeping (label standards, safety, waste management and disposal, work areas, glass ware, consumables) Compliance Sample management - sample control of all samples submitted Compliance MANAGEMENT KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS OPERATIONAL PLANNING – follow schedules, prioritizing, targets. Personal work and project plans met standards MONITORING AND REPORTING - monitoring, control, corrective action Consistently reviewed own progress, quality, and compliance, took corrective actions and gave quality feedback timeously OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY – processes, workflow integration (silo busting), systems, standards, compliance, methodologies Established and effectively used processes, systems, professional standards, methodologies, practices RESOURCING AND CAPACITY MANAGEMENT – people, infrastructure, systems, technology, equipment, knowledge, information; facilities, etc. Secured and used resources efficiently and optimized cost DECISION MAKING – escalations, decisions, problem solving Identified and resolved work obstacles and issues effectively and quickly / Analysis and recommendations based on thorough research and decisions led to better results LEADERSHIP KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS STRATEGY formulation, direction, contribution to company strategy Understood and supported the company strategy, values and team objectives and ensured that own objectives were aligned INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE - role clarity and individual objectives; reviews; feedback; corrective actions Took responsibility to agree to and review personal performance objectives and their achievement SKILL LEVELS – training, development Took responsibility for personal improvement, growth and skills development CULTURE, VALUES, CLIMATE Was engaged and contributed to a positive team environment. Demonstrated high levels of energy and motivation QUALIFICATION / EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION Analytical Chemistry Diploma or Applicable B Tech or related qualification EXPERIENCE At least 2 years of experience as analyst in a Pharmaceutical laboratory or Food & Bereverage industry experience FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES Analytical problem solving Must have effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic knowledge of statistical method in analytical chemistry. Proficient in Excel – data manipulation and interrogation Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, and in a timely fashion.
