Junior Analyst/Trader (Graduate Position) - Cape Town City Centre

Our client, an Investment boutique financial services company, who provide tailor-made investment solutions to retail and institutional clients in South Africa. The company, was founded in 2014, is a member of the JSE Derivatives Exchange and owns a licenced asset management company. The business specializes in the conception and execution of derivative-based risk mitigation solutions for a spectrum of customer sets.
Requirements:
- Seeking a graduate with strong academics in quantitative analysis, mathematics, physics, financial mathematics or actuarial science.
- Our client is seeking someone with strong client relationship skills. They must have the ability to build strong relationships with client’s. This is a critical component of our client’s success. To this end, a successful candidate would need to be gregarious, social and show an ability to network, socialize and relate to people. This often requires commitment to duty outside of conventional office hours.
- Must be a team player. Our client’s team is small and very close-knit. The company culture is non-hierarchical and job descriptions are not formalized.
- The successful candidate would need to be independent, self-motivated and demonstrate a willingness to sacrifice self-interests for team interests and to assume whatever role necessary to further the interests of the business.

Pay includes based pay and monthly driven performance/execution bonuses. These are deal based bonuses.
