Reference: PE002194-MT-1Our client, a leader in the auctioning space, based in North End, Port Elizabeth; is seeking to employ a Junior Auction Administrator / Stock Controller to their team.Job Overview:As an Auction Administrator, you will play a vital role in facilitating the smooth operation of auctions within our organization. You will be responsible for managing various administrative and stock related tasks before, during, and after auctions to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.An exciting career opportunity awaits you Requirements: Matric qualification is essential. Proven experience in administrative / stock control roles. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office suite. Knowledge of auction processes and terminology is a plus. Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities, but not limited to:1. Pre-Auction Preparation: Coordinate with auctioneers and relevant stakeholders to schedule auction dates and times. Check auction catalogs, ensuring accurate descriptions and details of items up for auction. Organize and maintain records of consignments, including item descriptions, condition reports, and reserve prices. 2. Auction Day Support: Assist in setting up auction venues, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are in place. Register bidders and issue bidder paddles or identification numbers. Provide administrative support during auctions, including recording winning bids and managing paperwork. 3. Post-Auction Activities: Facilitate the seller / client relationship. Coordinate payment processing and follow up on outstanding payments / settlements. Arrange for item pickup or shipping for successful bidders, coordinating logistics as needed. 4. Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of auction transactions and bidder information. Respond to inquiries from clients, bidders, and consignors in a timely and professional manner. Assist in marketing and promotional activities to attract bidders and consignors to upcoming auctions.
