Junior Buyer with Storeroom Functions - Durban

Key Performance Areas:

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Order and process stock to support project requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage storeroom functions.
  • Ensure all stock is stored safely and in an organized manner.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, orders, and deliveries.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders and invoices.
  • Work closely with project teams to forecast material needs and plan stock accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • NQF 5 qualification in supply chain, logistics, or a similar field.
  • In the absence of relevant qualifications, experience in the relevant field and at the relevant level will be considered.

Experience:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or a similar field.
  • Experience in the fire protection industry is preferable.
