RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a Junior Cost Accountant to join our client's team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will work closely with the senior cost accountants and provide support in various cost accounting activities. This is a great opportunity for an entry-level candidate who is looking to gain practical experience in the field of cost accounting. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of cost reports and financial statements Support in analyzing cost factors and identifying cost-saving opportunities Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting inventory reconciliations Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide cost-related insights Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications Good understanding of basic accounting principles Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Prior experience or internship in cost accounting is a plus Benefits Salary is market-related and based on experience Contact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.
