Junior Draughtsman - Gauteng
ROLE PURPOSE We are looking for a self-motivated junior draughtsman who can work alongside several specialists in our company. Responsible for creating technical drawings based on given specifications and calculations. Junior draughtsman will form part of a multidisciplinary engineering team. REQUIREMENTS • Draughting diploma / relevant degree from a tertiary institution; • Experience in computer aided design and drafting; • Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical draughting. Experience in aeronautics, defense and/or connectivity would be a plus. • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently; and • Ability to respond well to criticism and to maintain a positive attitude. RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK OUTPUTS • Modify or create detailed part and assembly drawings in 2D or 3D; • Reverse engineering samples provided by customers and implement it in a 2 D or 3D drawing; • Liaise with sale engineers or customers for any information or design changes; • Support customers and suppliers technical requirements. • Provide technical support to various departments of the company (quality, production and sales); • Modifying or compiling bills of materials on the ERP system; • Ensuring final design is compliant with required standard/s; and • Providing engineering support to various departments and with suppliers on new projects; COMPETENCIES REQUIREDS • Attention to detail • Your knowledge also encompasses a grasp of manufacturing processes • Mechanical-Electrical Fundamentals • Problem-solving acumen SKILLS • Analytical • Communication • Critical thinking • Diplomacy • You possess proficiency in computer-aided design and drafting software, with a special emphasis on SolidWorks NB: Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
