Working hours: Monday – Friday 07:30- 16:30 Opportunity at our client who falls under engineering sector, for a Junior Electrical Engineer who has an interest in the Solar Design industry to join a firm in Pretoria, Moot area Minimum requirements: BSc / Degree in Electrical Engineering Experience working with Solar would be highly beneficial OR person should want to with within the solar industry Must be able travel Drivers license and own car Person should be innovative and willingness and attitude to learn in a fast-paced environment Strong academic performance and a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles. Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP). Duties will include but is not limited to: The person will learn and be involved in the following: Solar system design and Engineering: Assist the Lead Engineer in the design and engineering of solar power systems, including photovoltaic (PV) arrays, inverters, storage systems, and electrical distribution. Assist with developing and reviewing technical specifications, drawings, and calculations for solar projects. Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and standards related to solar energy installations. Assist in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for various projects. Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Support senior engineers in project planning, coordination, and execution. Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation. Participate in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical systems. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
